What a OFF THE HOOK day of  fishing here in Hilton Head!

Today was my clients first time fishing for redfish here in South 

Carolina and he got to see and catch em' as good as it gets!

We had several double headers all on light tackle spinning gear

and even got a few nice fish to take the fly as well. Winter fishing

can epic be for sure here in the low country especially when all the

right conditions like we had today come together. 

I am off to a great start this year with my new boat and I love

the way it has been preforming in the shallows chasing down

redfish like these!!

Had my first set of clients on my new boat today. The fish were
playing hard to get but we manage to get a nice one to finish the
trip and also got some great shots of a bald eagle in flight.

I have been waiting for a pretty day like this to get out on the water

run my brand new Egret Moccasin and I absolutely love it! I took the 

family with me and we scouted and scored some nice redfish on the fly! 

My daughter did a great job helping me reel in some of nice redfish 

on the fly rod. We saw hundreds of fish so that is great news for my

upcoming fishing clients that I have this month. I just hope the 

weather keeps warming up and the winds stay light!

What a way to break in my Brand New Egret Moccasin catching 

some nice redfish on the fly with one of my best friends. We took turns

polling each other on the flats and casting to some huge schools of 

fish and caught some some studs. The coolest part about the day was

having a Great White Egret land on board and hang with us while

we were fishing. What a good omen a Egret on my Egret boat!

The ultimate inshore fishing boat is on it's way to Hilton Head Island!

I can't wait to get my hands on my brand new 2014 21ft. Egret Moccasin.

I will picking it up a few days from now from The Egret Factory in N.C. 

and really look forward to fishing this boat for the years to come here in

Hilton Head and feel that this will be the perfect boat for all the types

fishing we have to offer here in the Low Country. The Moccasin will

be able to fish the flats, cross choppy sounds or even run offshore 

when conditions allow. This boat is a major upgrade from my 2010 

Egret 18'9" which was a incredible boat and in my opinion is one of

 the best all around flats boats I have ever had. The great new features 

of the 210 Moccasin is that I can customize the boat to what styles of fishing 

and types of clients I have. For example during the hot summer months 

their is a removable T-Top to provide shade and comfort for my clients 

while bait fishing for cobia, tarpon, sharks etc..When fishing the flats for 

redfish the boat can be polled and will draft the same as my previous 

Egret flats boat in the 10-12inch range. One of the coolest upgrades

will be the Minn Kota  iPilot that will allow me to cover allot of water

fast or hold me still in one spot with the built in GPS in the motor!
