What a great day inshore catching some incredible redfish despite
the nasty 15-25 mph winds and rough conditions.  Pictured above
The Martires have fished with me many times and were blown away
today by the raw power of these big stud redfish!

The Potokas experienced the same action this afternoon with the
big redfish and pulled out one of the coolest and rarest catches of
the year with Doug Potoka pictured below who caught this huge
10 plus pound bluefish! What a OFF THE HOOK catch!

"Plan B" today With the windy conditions and dirty water I
took my clients to a few of my favorite ponds that have tarpon
in them. Pictured above Christopher Watt fooled a nice little T
on the fly and  he and his father had several more shots. Fun!
The afternoon trip I got back in the boat for some serious shark
action and family fun catching bonnet head and black tip sharks!

We had to work hard for this fish pictured above and it was
Clark Johnson's first redfish and what a redfish it was! With
the conditions not ideal today but my both my morning and
afternoon trips ended up catching some nice ones today!

The last few days have been great for several species of sharks
in the sounds and inshore in the creeks have also been very
good for some really nice speckled sea trout and redfish.
My clients and I came across this snake in a weed line while
looking for tripletail and cobia... it was a first for me to see a
corn snake swimming in the ocean!

First day of Summer and the Cobia are still running!
With the below normal spring water and air temps most of our
migratory fish have been at least a month late and I think the
cobia may be a round for a few more weeks. This cobia above
put up a epic fight for this lucky lady on the light tackle!
What a perfect eating size fish! YUM!
