Here are few clips of the catch and release of one of my favorite species of fish that pass through our local waters. These cobia that are in the sounds that surround Hilton Head Island are here to spawn and must be released if caught May 1st-May 31st. A new state law went into place a several years ago to help the populations rebound due to overfishing and I am already seeing the numbers rebound which is great news for the years to come.
