My Egret turned 5 years old today & has been one hell of a fish catching machine! She still looks like new...3300 hrs on my 175 Suzuki that’s still running strong. The first few pics are from the maiden voyage on her 5 years ago today with my good friend @captaintrentmalphrus we took turns catching reds on the fly all afternoon and to top it off had a Egret land on the bow of the boat on the way in, epic good omen! It’s official The IGFA World Record Certificate showed up in the mail yesterday approving my catch from September of last year breaking the 8lb. tippet World Record on fly, a record that has been held since 1983. This big jack took 2hrs and 15mins to land and weighed 35lbs beating the previous record by 4lbs. So stoked to have this epic catch under my belt that has taken me several years to get!
