8/31/11 Fish Of The Month!
The past few days have been tough out there with the windy conditions. My clients have had there
share of chances at some nice redfish tailing in the flats but the fish have had lock jaw and have
been swimming right past what ever we throw at them. The forecast looks to be shaping up for
rest of the week and I hope the fish start chewing a little bit more. Otherwise there has still been
plenty of light tackle action on sharks to keep the rods bent. I just had to post this great shot
again of Jeff Romano and his huge jack as the fish of the month. Big jacks like this are one of my
favorite fish to put clients on during the summer months and it's been one slow year for them for
sure. They may still push in September and I have caught them as late as late Oct. So will see!

8/29/11 Tailing Redfish Time!
This has to be one of my favorite types of fishing with clients or for fun...nothing beats watching a
tailing redfish cruise a flat in search of tiny little fiddler crabs with their head down low and their
tail up in the air. It's just a beautiful act of nature! This fish featured gave us quite a show and
unfortunately got away but you can't catch em' all! I posted this video a few weeks ago and have
had my clients on some nice fish the last few days and I just wanted to share again what we
we have been seeing out there on the flats. The tides for the rest of the month and all the way
into late September are going to be great for chasing some tails. Let's go get some!

Surfs Up! This is what I really look forward to when there is a Hurricane off the coast of Hilton Head
is getting a chance to ride some big waves. Here are a few wave shots as the storm past offshore of
us Friday afternoon. Looks like a busy week ahead with trips and some big tides for tailing redfish!

Time to take a few days off and let things settle down out there. The surf and tides are on the rise
and that can affect the fishing so this time I have had to  let a few of my clients "Off The Hook" and
reschedule for a future trip, One thing that has been nice is a little R&R and time to work on the boat
and hang out with my family for the next few days. I plan to be back up and running on Sunday after
Irene passes to the north of us.

8/24/11 Pic Of The Day!
Excellent action this morning on spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few nice sharks. Ronda and David
stayed busy fighting fish for the first half of the trip and filled up a nice bag of fillets for dinner. We
changed up the game plan to go try for redfish at the same spot as yesterdays trip and they were no
where to be found. Thats how its been for the reds one day they are there next day they are gone?

The afternoon trip with the Bradly family had a blast catching sharks and bluefish on the light
tackle as well and we had to call it quits early because we ran out of bait and the waves were building
fast from the Hurricane that is on it;s way up the coast. Surfs up the next few days so I will be taking
some time off to let the conditions settle back down before I get any clients back out fishing.
