4/27/11 Pic Of The Day!
WEW! it was what we call blowing stink out there today. The winds were whipping out of the
South 20-30 mph and it made the fishing pretty tuff but we still manage to catch a few nice fish.
Pictured above Drew and Pete with two really nice golden colored reds. We also caught a few
bonnet head sharks as well. On my afternoon trip with the Reed family they stayed busy catching
several species of sharks like reef, bonnet, and even a bull shark and were all around 3ft long.

1-2 pound blues.... perfect fry size! YUM! We also caught a bunch of nice sharks as well!

4/25/11 Pic Of The Day!
My first intentions today were to go sight fishing for cobia but the conditions were not quite calm enough.
So I resorted to plan B and it turned out great. My client Scott Keyser caught some really nice redfish along
with a big bonnet head shark and an alligator gar!

4/24/11 FIRST COBIA OF THE YEAR!!
4/19/11 My first trip cobia fishing this season with my clients David and Kathy Roman (featured).
We had epic conditions for sight fishing this day in the Broad River and ended up catching 2 nice cobia
It was a special day being the earliest I have ever caught cobia in the month of April. My earliest before
was April 22nd a few years ago. The next 3 trips with my clients also caught cobia as well all sight fishing
making a grand total of 8 cobia in just 3 days! Most of the fish were small ones but they are perfect light
tackle fun! Looks like it will be a great cobia season!

4/22/11 Chasing Tails!
Yes it's that time of the year again to start chasing tailing redsfish on the flats. Starting now until
the end of October redfish feed aggressively with there head down in the mud and tails up in the
air in search of there favorite little morsel the fiddler crab. Today my clients and I saw a good number
of tailers at high tide and we hooked one that would have been my first of the year but unfortunately
he got away. After we left the flat on the way back to the dock I spotted a cobia cruising on the surface
and we pitched the same lure we were using for the tailing reds and hooked up on one of my smallest
rods to 20 pound cobia! The battle took a good 20 minutes and we landed and released the fish!
