Well at least it has warmed up out there on the water a little bit from the past
few days. Once again the fish made us work hard on each trip to catch a few
but the fish we caught were really nice ones!

had to be some of the worst windy, freezing cold conditions to fish. We had to cut the 
trip short because our hands and body were numb!  At least we got one though!

2/16/12 Pic Of The Day!
We saw hundreds of redfish this morning with my clients but the fish were very spooky
and we had to work hard to catch a few. The dolphins were really putting the pressure on 
the fish and that can play a major role on the fish biting or not. Pictured above is one of
two little redfish I caught on the fly in pond just playing around. A nice 5 spotter!

It's been pretty gray gloomy out there but that hasn't  stopped the fish from biting.

2/9/12 Red Hot Inshore Action!
February is a great month to target sheepshead and redfish. The sheepshead 
fishing has been Off The Hook along old dock pilings and bridges while the red
fish have been stacked up by the hundreds in the shallow flats and make for 
some excellent sight fishing opportunities. What a warm pleasant Winter we are
having! Give me a call and let's go catch some fish!
Having Fun In Costa Rica!
On a little vacation away from Hilton Head with my family and having a great
time! It's nice to take a break and recharge my batteries and get ready for some
excellent redfishing when I get back. The fishing down here in Costa Rica has
been great the past few days! I use my surfboard to fish off of and paddle outside
the breakers up to a half mile out at times and get into massive schools of  jacks,
mackerel, ladyfish, snapper and the prized rooster fish like the little one pictured
 above. I lost count of fish I caught yesterday afternoon but this little rooster fish
made my day!

1/16 /12 Pic Of The Day!

The Inshore Trip Of The Year So Far! Not bad for January! To be conservative I 
would say we caught close to 40 or more redfish this afternoon all on artificial lures.
We had several triple headers on fish like these pictured above! At least 4 or more 
double headers and bunch of singles!

What a incredible day fishing for big bull reds off the beach of Hilton Head!
My wife pictured above caught her fish ever on the Fly and just missed the 
woman's 16lb tippet World Record by a few pounds! We ended up catching 7 
big bull reds!  2 on the fly and 5 on spin. The fish weighed between 20-25lbs. 
What A Day!

There's A First Time For Everything!

All I Can Say Is WOW! Today was a day to pioneer and try something new that has not
been tried before off of Hilton Head and today was the day! A good friend and one of the
 best fly fisherman I know Mr. Raz Reid (Pictured Below) went looking for big bull redfish
to catch on the fly! The fishery for these big bulls is unreal from late September - March
and they can range from the inshore channels and nearshore sandbars in the fall all the 
way out offshore on artificial reefs during the winter months.  We ended up catching
these 2 fish pictured on the fly and another 6 on light spinning gear. What a day!

It was a Quality not Quantity day out there but the few fish my clients caught were
very nice! We saw hundreds of redfish but they just were not very hungry.  The weather
has been excellent so far this year and looks great for the next few days so I look  forward
to getting back out there with or with out clients! Give me a call if you want to go!

What a way to start off the New Year with some OFF THE HOOK FISHING!
This redfish pictured above was the big fish of the morning caught with The Groth Family!
The action kept going all afternoon with The Bowen Family as well and all of the fish today
were really big fish ranging from 5-10 pounds! What a great New Year Day!!

12/31  Pic Of The Day!
The Last Fish Of The Year! There is a great story to this nice redfish caught/snagged?
This fish was actually swimming around with a hook and float that someone else had
hooked and the fish got away. Turns out the fish was lost yesterday by a good friend 
of mine who was fishing the very same spot. I told my client Mr. King to cast near the
float and try to snag it with the fly and he did just that! What are the chances?!! The
redfish put up a incredible fight and we were able to remove the hook and release it.
What a great fish to end the year of 2011 on!

What a incredible day! One of the best days of the year for sure! My clients caught
fish from start to finish on both trips! It just doesn't get any better out there!
