The Bulls Reds Are Back! They should be running strong for the next month or so and they usually weigh
on average 18-30 plus lbs and are awesome fighters on light tackle. This fish pictured above caught by
The Phillips family was the first fish of the day and was a great way to start off the trip. We missed a
few other big reds and stayed busy with some big sharks as well.

Epic conditions today light winds, glassy lake like seas and lots of jacks! Pictured above my
client Kris Thom caught one of the biggest jacks I have ever had a client catch. The fish weighed
in at 37lbs! Just a few pounds short from the State Record! The afternoon trip with Wes Wagoner
was excellent as well and we caught a few nice redfish and some nice sharks.

It felt really good to put my feet back on my boat today after 7 days off..don't get me wrong I
really enjoyed my well deserved break from my boat while it got it's yearly tune up. The weather
has been excellent the past few days out there and it was nice to get back to work and put a
client on some fish. Pictured above Shari Wakefield who's biggest fish before today was a 18in.
bass. Well I think we topped that one for sure today as we caught several big redfish like this
one pictured and also some big bonnet head sharks as well. Great Trip!

9/12/11 Hilton Head Island Fishing First!
Fishing the green way today..no gas..no noise..no bait..just me and stand up paddle board.
I will have to admit it was a complete first for me to cast a fly off of my SUP to a giant school
of tailing jacks and pull off a FIRST!! The battle lasted over 20 minutes after being towed all
over the river and she finally gave in. What a catch!

9/10/11 Off The Hook Offshore Fishing!
What a treat I had today getting to get offshore and fish with some friends!
I think today was the first time I have been outside the sight of land in several
years and what a pretty day to go. Thanks to Captain Jason Dubose for the
invite to go. What a great day!

9/6-9/8 Surfs Up!
My Wife (Pictured), Daughter and I drove up to Charleston and caught some really nice waves from
Hurricane Katia. The waves were as good as they could get out there with light winds and glassy
conditions. The only thing that could have been better would be if the waves were bigger!
Surfing is allot like fishing you always want to catch more and bigger!!

We had to deal with some pretty nasty weather out there today but the fish didn't seem to mind the
weather one bit. These 3 fish my clients are holding were about as big as you can keep a slot red fish.
I am looking forward to a little break for the next few days and plan to head out of town and chase some
surf from Hurricane Katia that is heading up the coast. Hope I catch a Big One! Wave that is!

9/3/11 Pic's Of The Day!
Another great day out there catching some big reds. The Roseberrys had perfect weather for fishing
and caught a seven big redfish up on the flats and big bull shark that was quite a surprise to see!
Below are a few more pic's from yesterdays epic tailing session with my wife. She snapped a few
awesome shots while I jumped out of the boat to go chase a few tails wading. Nothing beats
stalking a tailing redfish on the flats with a fly rod!
Epic Tailer!

9/2/11 Pic's Of The Day!
Another epic day out there catching redfish at low tide all the way to high tide. Pictured below
my morning trip with Pickerings started off great and they caught some nice redfish on the
the light spinning rods and few nice sharks as well. I had the afternoon off and my wife Carin and I
went out and had one of the best tailing redfish sessions I have had in quite some time. There
were times when 3-4 fish were tailing in front of me and I couldn't decide which one to go for and
thats not a bad problem to have!

What a great way to start September  off with some great tailing redfish action on the flats!
My client Daren Becker caught some nice fish on the fly this afternoon.  He  took a good number
of shots on the boat and finally connected with a few reds while wading the flats which in my
opinion is the ultimate experience!. The thrill of the hunt stalking down that big tailing fish
on foot in the flats is as good as it gets!

8/31/11 Fish Of The Month!
The past few days have been tough out there with the windy conditions. My clients have had there
share of chances at some nice redfish tailing in the flats but the fish have had lock jaw and have
been swimming right past what ever we throw at them. The forecast looks to be shaping up for
rest of the week and I hope the fish start chewing a little bit more. Otherwise there has still been
plenty of light tackle action on sharks to keep the rods bent. I just had to post this great shot
again of Jeff Romano and his huge jack as the fish of the month. Big jacks like this are one of my
favorite fish to put clients on during the summer months and it's been one slow year for them for
sure. They may still push in September and I have caught them as late as late Oct. So will see!

8/29/11 Tailing Redfish Time!
This has to be one of my favorite types of fishing with clients or for fun...nothing beats watching a
tailing redfish cruise a flat in search of tiny little fiddler crabs with their head down low and their
tail up in the air. It's just a beautiful act of nature! This fish featured gave us quite a show and
unfortunately got away but you can't catch em' all! I posted this video a few weeks ago and have
had my clients on some nice fish the last few days and I just wanted to share again what we
we have been seeing out there on the flats. The tides for the rest of the month and all the way
into late September are going to be great for chasing some tails. Let's go get some!

Surfs Up! This is what I really look forward to when there is a Hurricane off the coast of Hilton Head
is getting a chance to ride some big waves. Here are a few wave shots as the storm past offshore of
us Friday afternoon. Looks like a busy week ahead with trips and some big tides for tailing redfish!

Time to take a few days off and let things settle down out there. The surf and tides are on the rise
and that can affect the fishing so this time I have had to  let a few of my clients "Off The Hook" and
reschedule for a future trip, One thing that has been nice is a little R&R and time to work on the boat
and hang out with my family for the next few days. I plan to be back up and running on Sunday after
Irene passes to the north of us.

Excellent action this morning on spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few nice sharks. Ronda and David
stayed busy fighting fish for the first half of the trip and filled up a nice bag of fillets for dinner. We
changed up the game plan to go try for redfish at the same spot as yesterdays trip and they were no
where to be found. Thats how its been for the reds one day they are there next day they are gone?

The afternoon trip with the Bradly family had a blast catching sharks and bluefish on the light
tackle as well and we had to call it quits early because we ran out of bait and the waves were building
fast from the Hurricane that is on it;s way up the coast. Surfs up the next few days so I will be taking
some time off to let the conditions settle back down before I get any clients back out fishing.

What a way to start off my afternoon trip catching these two big redfish with The Fuller Family!
We pulled up to an enormous school of redfish right off the start and hooked these 2 big reds
but unfortunately all the commotion of the redfish fighting spooked the rest of the school and we
couldn't find them again, We ended up going to another spot and caught a bunch of nice black
tip sharks and spanish mackerel. Great Day!
