A perfect morning for tailing redfish. Here is great shot of my client David Whnja with his first redfish 
on the fly!
The afternoon trip we went out for the big boys with Michael houlihan and his son and friend.
They fished with me a few days before and had a great trip with the big bulls. Well as you can
see we found the fish again and managed to catch 5 in about 30 minutes before it got a little 
to windy and rough so we finished up inshore getting on the smaller reds.

Carter. We ended up catching about 7 redfish this size and some big sharks. Great Trip!

South Carolina Inshore Grand Slam!
Pictured above is Oliva Brooking of Louisville, Kentucky holding up one nice flounder!
She was fishing with her dad Andy Brooking who also caught a flounder which is one of the hardest 
fish to catch when trying to get a inshore slam which consist of a redfish, trout and flounder. They
were using only shrimp jigs on my light spinning rods and they both caught a good number of redfish 
and speckled trout.

10/17 Pic's Of The Day!
With the perfect flat calm conditions I decided to chase the big bull 
reds today and my clients had to weed through a bunch of sharks
to get a few of these big redfish. Pictured above is my morning trip 
with a nice fish caught back in the Calibogie sound. Pictured below 
is offshore red caught by my client Emmett Towey of New York who 
caught this fish on a structure just a few miles off the beach.

10/14-15 Pic's Of The Day!
Reds, Reds Reds....has been the fish to target the past few weeks 
and will continue to be the main fish for the upcoming months. 
The speckled trout have been running but most of the fish 
have been fairly small. The next few weeks should be great 
for trout and they should start to get a little bigger the cooler it gets. 
Pictured top is Jeff Sander with his father holding one of the 
bigger reds we caught Thursday morning. Pictured bottom is the 
Brown family who had a triple header on these nice redfish all well 
over the slot size on Friday mornings trip. When you are in the 
fish it's not uncommon to have multiple 
hook ups like this!

10/12-13 Pic's Of The Day!
Here are some great shots from yesterday and today of some nice redfish caught
on the fly and light tackle spinning gear. The first 3 pic's are of Rich Rosenthal
and his wife Jenny with there first redfish they had ever caught on fly and spin. 
The next 2 pic's are from this mornings trip with David Dupler who had an incredible 
trip catching over 10 redfish on the fly! These were also his first reds on the fly as well!
The last 2 shots are of my wife with a couple of monster birthday bull reds we caught
this afternoon. We also ended up with a few pounds of shrimp. What a great day!

What a day! The morning trip started off a little slow fishing for the big bull reds but 
we ended up seeing some nice tails at high tide in the grass and ended up with a nice one to end 
the trip with the Jacob family. The afternoon trip with the King family was red-hot and was one of my 
best 3 hour missions of the year catching 17 big redfish in just over an hours time! The last pic sums
up the perfect day with a quaddruple header of big reds. What a shot!

The fish of the day was this monster bull red caught by Michael Gardner. We also had 
an incredible morning catching several nice redfish on the fly up in the marsh flats.
The big bull reds have been on fire the past few days and the inshore action should 
be great this week. Can't wait! Here are a few great shots of my Michael and his good
friend Dan with some of the fish caught on the fly.

What a great day! We absolutely tore the big reds up on both my morning
and afternoon trips and ended up with 20 fish ranging from 15-25 pounds!
We also caught several nice bull and blacktip sharks. Here are just a few pic's

The Running Of The Bulls!
The cooler weather we have been getting is starting to push the big bull redfish inshore 
and around our sandbars just right off of the beach of Hilton Head. This morning I decided
to take a break from the creeks and headed for the ocean and was rewarded with a few stud
reds well over 20 pounds! What a nice fish Brian Walkerly is holding up with his wife and son.

Another great trip with Dr. Bill Miller who I believe has fished with me over 10 times now!
We started off the morning catching some nice redfish on the fly as you see pictured above
and every picture has a story.. if you look at the picture to the right notice the float in Bills 
hand. This was a redfish that had been hooked by someone else on live bait and the fish broke 
the line and was still connected with the float trailing behind the fish. Bill placed a perfect 
cast to the moving float and hooked with his fly and battled it to the boat!

It's nice to have a day off of from fishing to go fishing for fun! When you have conditions
this good it's hard no to go. Pictured above I am getting ready cast to large  jack crevalle
that I ended up hooking and fighting for close to 20 minutes and unfortunately the 8lb
tippet parted right as the fish made one last blistering run. I think had I landed this fish
it would have been really close to a world record on 8lb tippet!

September Tailing Redfish Session

September is definitely one of the best months to fish for tailing redfish due to the above average tides 
in the 8-9ft range. These fish are stuffing there bellies full of tiny fiddler crabs up in the hard packed
 mud and sand flats where the fiddlers are burrowed in little holes in large numbers. I am usually up 
on the polling platform of my flats skiff polling through the flats to put clients on these very same redfish
 that I am chasing down on foot in this video. It was great to get a chance to break in my brand new Sage 
7wt. Xi3 fly rod and new Tibor Everglades reel on a few nice fish on a beautiful high tide afternoon. 
There is nothing like a sunset wade fishing session for tailing reds!

Afternoon Action!  After taking a few days off it felt great to get back out on the water and 
put my clients on some nice fish. We had a great afternoon catching some nice reds and 
some big bonnet head sharks on light tackle spinning gear!
