Redfish, Redfish, Redfish...That seems to be the fish to target  here on the high and the low
tides. It is hard to change up and do something different when the refishing has been so good.
Here are a few pic's from yesterday and today with my clients and some nice fish! The 
big bull reds  are starting to move in from the offshore and my wife and I got into some
smaller fish this afternoon just a few miles out. We also had a blast catching a bunch of 
spanish mackerel and bluefish on spoons. Kind of nice to mix things up a little bit.

9/13 Pic Of The Day!
What a beautiful day! Northeast winds, no humidity and the fish were biting like crazy!
The Gagne's had a great trip catching a bunch of big reds like this one above along with 
some 3-4 foot bonnet head sharks, ladyfish and bluefish. Fall is right around the corner
and the inshore fishing should get red hot and will be Off The Hook!

The past few days have been incredible for targeting tailing redfish. Today was as good as it gets. 
My client Michael Gordon caught several nice redfish on the fly like this one pictured above.

9/7 Pic Of The Day!
Another great redfish day! My morning trip with my client Tom Lasko and his wife was incredible for 
tailing redfish in the grass flats at high tide. Unfurtanely I deleted the pic's somehow from the morning.
The pic above is from the afternoon with Steve and Clay Birdwell who caught a couple of nice reds 
on the outgoing tide.

9/5-9/6 Pic's Of The Day!

Here is a great shot of the Martire's with a couple of nice reds from Sunday morning. 
We started off the morning catching a monster blacktip shark close to 70 pounds and 
finished up chasing down some redfish on the outgoing tide. The next day we targeted 
redfish at the time of high tide and there were tails everywhere! Here is one of the nice 
fish we picked up on Monday morning tailing in the grass.

The redfish action has been great the past few days and we are coming up on some

Here are some great shots from the past week with my clients catching a variety of nice fish!
Now that September is here the inshore action should only get better in the creeks and on the flats 
for redfish, trout and flounder. The tarpon fishing should also be at its peak for the next few weeks
as they make their migration back to the South.

8/26 Monster Tarpon!

August 25, 2010 
What a awesome tarpon my client Chris Swenson from Atlanta, GA caught. The fight lasted a 
little over a hour and the fish jumped a good 8 times on the initial hook up and few more right 
before we boated the fish. I estimated the tarpon to weigh somewhere in the 120 pound range. 
This was Chris's first tarpon caught in South Carolina and his biggest of all time! 
The fish was released and swam away to fight another day.

The afternoon fishing was red hot with the Derryck family and they had a great trip 
catching some big redfish on the low tide flats!

Another day of dodging thunderstorms but fortunately I got my trips in with just a few drops of rain.

The past few days have been a little iffy with the weather. Lots of rain and clouds
which have been well needed and has been a nice little break from the heat of the sun.
The light tackle action in the creeks has been great for redfish, lady fish and big
bonnet head sharks.

8/16 Pic Of The Day!
The high tides for tailing redfish have been incredible the past few days with tide heights
well over 8.0ft. I happened to  have a cancelation yesterday and got a chance to go fun fish 
and try out  my new Sage 7wt. Xi3 and Tibor Everglades set up. I went to a new spot and 
there were tailing reds every where! This pic is from my third cast with my new set up and
was a nice little red to start off the day!

I just returned from a nice break from the heat and spent the past 10 days out in Bend, Oregon.
I had a awesome trip and the weather was perfect. Today was my first day back in the heat and 
things picked right back off where I left them on July 29th. The redfish bite was great and this is
a great shot of one of our bigger reds from my afternoon trip.

7/29 Pic Of The Day!
What a hot afternoon! Heat index well over 100 degrees! I spent most of my time keeping the
boat moving looking for jacks but unfortunately could not find a school to cast to. We finished 
off the trip with the Bentz family hooking into a nice batch of big redfsh at a brand new spot. 
In just a matter of minutes we had close to 10 fish like these pictured above all 7-10 pounds!

7/28 Pic Of The Day!
A great day for scanning the surface for schooling jacks. My client Gary Kandel had a great 
fight from this fish pictured that weighed a little over 20 pounds. Some of the other fish we 
sawin the schools had to be well over 30 pounds and I guarantee there is a new state record 
out there ! I hope to get em' one day!

7/26-7/27 Pic's Of The Day!
A few shots of my clients with some nice sharks and unreal trip yesterday afternooncatching jacks. 
We had perfect conditions and the schools were up tailing every where
and ended up catching five 20-30 pound fish!

7/23-7/25 Pic's Of The Day!
Another great run of fishing the past two days! Jacks, bull redfish, sharks and tarpon
not a bad medley of fish to choose from. Here are just a few shots from the last 2 days 
with my clients and some really nice fish! The tarpon was from today and was a river 
monster I am estimating 130-140 pounds! One of the biggest tarpon I have ever had a 
client hook! We fought the fish this morning for over a hour and touched the leader a few 
times to verify the catch but the fish broke the line before we could pull it aboard for
measurements and pic's.

What a beautiful morning! Slick calm conditions and large schools of monster jacks on the surface.
This fish pictured above caught by my client Andrew Herd who was visiting Hilton Head 
all the way from Canada was one of the largest jack's I have brought on board this year!

7/20 Redfish Baseball!
This was one of my best summertime redfish bites that I can remember! It was like a a baseball 
game out there. My clients were constantly  going through the batting order every 10 minutes
catching big redfish 3 to 10 pounds! We were getting single, double and even triple headers of 
big fish like these pictured above and caught at least 20-25 fish! 
The fishing was Off The Hook!

This is a great shot of some of the nice reds my clients caught on Friday morning. We also
 had plenty of action catching 3-4 foot bonnethead sharks on the light tackle spin gear!
