Hilton Head Island Fishing Off The Hook Charters
3/26/10 Windy Redfishing
Well the perfect conditions can't last forever. Today was a challenging trip with
the wind whipping hard around 20-25 mph and the water was pretty stirred up.
We still managed to get a few nice fish though. This shot above is of a few of the
bigger reds my clients Mickey and Jerry caught this morning. Not Bad

3/25/10 Fish To The Left And Fish To The Right!
Another epic morning seeing hundreds of fish on the low tide flats. When I say fish to the left
and fish to the right I mean my client Ralph Rossi was catching redfish casting a fly rod with
his left as well as his right and I couldn't tell the difference.  Unreal !!

3/23/10 Windy But Good!
It was a bit chilly out there this morning with the 20mph West winds but that didn't
seem to stop the fish from biting. My clients had a great day!

3/21/10 Catching Stud Redfish!
WOW! is what I said when my client Lewis Reeves hooked into this pig of a redfish!
Today was one of those quality not quantity kind of mornings which is just fine
when you are catching fish over 10 pounds! This one pictured had a set of shoulders
on him like a linebacker and was pushing 12 and half pounds!

3/20/10 Unreal Day Of Fishing!
What a unreal day of fishing by far one of the prettiest days of the year! Finally Spring has Sprung!
These are just a few of the great shots I took today. The first 2 were about 6:45 am when I
was running 35 MPH in the sheet glass with a incredible sunrise. The next 2 pics were of
David and his Son N Law Angus with some real nice redfish. The last 2 shots are from my
afternoon trip with Clem and Nina with stud fish caught in the marsh grass flats.

3/19/10 Nice Fish On The Fly
Great picture of my client Michael Gardner who made a incredible cast to catch this nice redfish
that was in some pretty thick cover. We saw a bunch of fish soaking up the sun this afternoon!!

3/18/10 What A Double Header!
10 Year olds Chris Dugas and Coleman Petway had the ultimate double header to start
off the trip this afternoon. Both of these fish were well over the slot limit and put up one
heck of a battle! We finished off catching a few more perfect eating size reds to top off
a great day!

3/15/10 Monster Sheepshead!
Great afternoon trip with my client Mick Frossil. We started the afternoon catching
some nice redfish and finished off the day catching some big sheephead. This a great
sequence of pics of the biggest sheepshead we caught and released weighing in at 9lbs!
The pictures were taken from Hilton Head Island Capt. Greg Vitteto.

3/13/10 Blowing 25-30 MPH!
This afternoon was one of those trips where you leave the dock and the
weather was just perfect with sunny clear skys and light winds but as soon as
we got out of sight of the dock the clouds started to roll in and the wind went
from blowing 10 mph to 25-30 MPH! We made it to a good protected spot
and caught some nice reds on spin and a few on the fly.

3/12/10 Afternoon Fly Trip
The water temps are finally starting to warm up and hopefully some baitfish
will start to move in and really turn the fish on. This was one of those days the fish
were a little picky but my clients did convince a few to eat the fly.  This a great shot of
Dr. Bill Miller one of the nice reds we caught this afternoon.

Nick Fallon is holding. What a great pic!

3/8/10 Great Mornig Trip
This was the first time I fished 3 clients on my new boat and I was surprised how
well the boat preformed and how much more room there is on new boat.
This is a great shot of my 3 clients with 3 perfect reds!

3/6/10  Big Fish Of The Day!
The first fish of the morning was the biggest fish of the day. Speaking of first this was 8 year
old Matt Banks first redfish he had ever caught! He did a great job and caught several others!
It is always a honor for me as a guide when someone catches there first redfish with me.

3/4/10 First Fish Caught On The New Boat!
Not exactly ideal conditions with 20 mph winds and chilly windchill temps. The Arnolds
and I managed to find a few nice reds today. This one pictured was the first fish caught aboard
my new Egret flatas boat. I can't tell you how happy I am with the Egret. It is by far the best riding
boat of it's size I have been on. My clients didn't get one drop of spray on us while crossing
the choppy Calibougie Sound.

3/1/10 Final Fishing Trip On My Old Boat
What a great last trip aboard my 1993 Hewes. My client David Bixby had a incredible day
catching a bunch of nice reds like this one above! I am going to miss the old boat but
can't wait to break in the new one.

2/21/10 Another Beautiful Day!
My clients Phil and Hobb lucked out with another great trip with excellent conditions. They caught
several nice fish using the fly rod and the rest were caught on bait with light spinning tackle.
Take a look at this picture of the fish from todays morning trip compared to the fish from yesterday
afternoons trip they look like twins there spots on the tail are almost identical!
2/20/10 Afternoon Action
The afternoon action was great on light tackle spin and also the fly. This a great
shot of Hobb and Phil with one of the nice redfish they caught on the fly.

2/20/10 Morning Glass
What a beautiful morning. The river was like a sheet of glass which made
spotting the schools of redfish super easy.  This a great shot of my client
Jamie Hubbard with one of the bigger reds we caught this morning.

2/19/10 Epic Day On The Fly!

Finally one of those Winter days I
have been waiting for with light
winds and lots of sunshine.

Today was by far the warmest
day of February and the fish
were very happy and hungry!
My client Clem Clevland and I
had an incredible day catching a
bunch of nice fish in the 5-10
pound range.
2/18/10 Young Fun!
We had a great afternoon catching some nice reds of all different sizes.
The weather was much nicer than it has been for the past few days.
Hopefully the worst of the cold weather is over!

2/17/10 Wind Chill In The 30's!
My Clients were troopers out there today with the freezing wind chills.
We saw hundreds of fish and managed to catch a few nice ones.

2/16/10 Cold and Clear
With the air cold temps the water clarity has been very good for spotting large schools of redfish.
This a great shot of a beautiful spotted redfish my client Ben Brewer caught this afternoon.

2/15/10 Some Nice Sheepshead
February and March is definitely one of the best times to target sheepshead.
Here is a great shot of The Wilson's who caught some perfect eating size sheepshead this afternoon.

2/14/10 Nice Reds
My clients Scott and Chris Jackson caught some nice reds on this beautiful Valentines Day.
