2/6/10 Super Bowl Sunday

A beautiful day just a little cold with the wind chill.
The redfish and sheepshead bite has been very good.
Here is a great shot of The Settle Family with some 
nice reds and a big sheepshead that we kept this morning.
2/3/10 Nice Afternoon Trip
Finally a nice break in the weather with some light winds and sunshine.
My clients had a great afternoon catching some nice redfish and sheepshead.
February Is A Great Month For Reds!
I just returned from a awesome trip to Costa Rica with family and friends. Now that I am back I 
look forward to some excellent fishing on the flats for redfish. With the cold water temps the fish will be 
holding schools by the hundreds!  Take advantage of the great winter fishing we have here in Hilton Head.
Down In Costa Rica Until Feb 1st

I am currently down in Costa Rica with my family for a Winter getaway until Feb 1st. 
We have been enjoying the warm temps, great surf and excellent fishing here for the past few days.
I have also been working on some fish prints from some of my recent catches.

1/2/10 Great Way To Start Off The New Year!

A nice way to start off 2010. My clients Glen and Steve had a stellar day catching 30-35 redfish.
Most of the fish were cookie cutter size in the 1.5-2 pound range and a few were bigger.
Perfect eating size fish!
12/30/09 Last Trip Of The Year! 50 + Redfish!

What a way to finish up the year! My clients Jerry and Tom put the mercy rule in to affect this afternoon
on one of my best redfish trips of the year! I would say they caught between 60-70 reds in the 1-5 lb. range.
We lost count after 50 fish and even cut the trip short by 2 hours or we would have hit the 100 mark for sure.
What a great way to end a great year!
12/29/09 Reds On The Fly

One good thing about cold Winter temperatures is the water is getting clearer every day which makes
for great sight fishing oppuertunities using spin or fly rods. My client Jason Phillips got to sightfish to
this nice redfish pictured above. The fish was in a school of about 50 fish! Despite the wind and chilly
temps we ended up with a good number of fish on the fly today.
12/28/09 Cold As It Gets Out There!
This mornings trip was as cold as it gets out there 20-25 mph West winds with a major wind chill but
we still managed to catch a few nice reds! The afternoon bite was incredible and we must have caught over
50 redfish! in the 1-3lb. range.
12/27/09 Great Trips Today


We had some incredible conditions this morning and this afternoon with calm winds and clear water which made for some great action on the fly and spin. 12/26/09 Monster Sheepshead!
Chris and Kim Swenson caught some really nice sheepshead this morning with the biggest a little over 10lbs!
They are a great fighting and eating fish and will be plentiful for the next few months.
12/24/09 Christmas Eve Redsfish!
What a great Father / Daughter trip today with the Johnsons.
We caught a good number of reds on the fly and on light tackle spinning gear.
12/23/09 Cold Temps But Good Fishing
Today was a bit chilly but my clients Brian and John Connor caught some really nice reds.

12/8/09 Afternoon Fun Fishing
My buddy John caught this nice red on 6lb. test right on top of a big pile oysters and somehow
got the fish in without getting his line cut! Great catch at a new spot!

My Clients, Eric, Scott and Jim had a incredible trip catching over 20 reds and 30 trout!

My Dad and I fished together in the First Annual Rivalry Week Redfish
Tournament and came in first with a 5.35lb. Redfish!
What a great day of fishing!

Mike Hall and is son Ryan had the ultimate trip today catching big black drum, redfish and sheepshead!
The weather was perfect and fish were biting like crazy. We lost count of how many we caught!

11/15/09 Ultimate Day!

My Client Brian Ferguson had a ultimate day catching some really nice redfish, black drum
sheepshead and sea bass. The conditions were perfect and slick calm. We fished a artificial
reef a few miles out and caught several different species fishing on the bottom with light spinning
tackle. To top off the great morning we came back inshore and caught some redfish on the
fly in the afternoon!










11/14/09 Still A Few Big Bull Reds Out There

Here are a couple of nice big reds The Swenson's got a few miles out with me on a
artifical reef. It was a beautiful day. We also caught some nice bottom fish to keep
us busy while waiting on the big reds to bite.
11/13/09 Fly Fishing In The Wind!
Another chilly day with 20-30 mph NW winds but that didn't stop my client Robert Wright
from catching 6 nice reds on the fly!
